Take MRT from Main Station back to Terminal 2.

Walk around, eat some noodles, take some pictures. Take the MRT from Terminal 2 to Taipei Main Station. Walk over to Terminal 2 and store my luggage in a rental locker. Land at TPE, go through customs/immigration with my roller. US citizen with a valid passport not expiring for a couple years, so won't need a visa.

I am taking the same airline throughout the trip. When I begin my return in Saigon, I will be checking in some luggage. I will likely have a roller/carry-on that I would like to place in a locker during this 8 hour side trip. when I fly from Taipei to SFO, I leave from Terminal 2. when I fly in from Saigon to Taipei, I land in Terminal 1.

On the way back, I have about 8.5 hours between flights, and I am wondering if this is a good idea. From San Francisco, I am taking a trip to Vietnam with a connecting/stop in Taipei (Taoyuan Int'l).
